This week week we launched Fullbore Dynojet Centre’s Website and Concept Locksmiths website.

Fullbore have been operateing for just short of 10 years in Hervey Bay, and wanted to take the step to advertising their business online. A Starter Budget Pack website was the perfect solution, giving them enough space to cover what they wanted to, along with registering their domain and setting up their own email address, rather than relying on their internet providers email address)

dh-billboardby Jeanette

Have you spotted us yet?

One of my preferred forms of advertising is Outdoor Advertising or commonly called Billboards!

Why pay $500 for a small ad in a paper that gets thrown out that day and maybe not even noticed with all the others. You can pay that per month (or alot less depending on the area) and have a billboard in potential clients faces, everyday, drumming in your brand or call to action.

Depending on your type of business I find billboard advertising is an extremely cost effective way to get your message across to a large number of your target market on a daily basis as long as you have an the right creative.
I prefer simple but effective!

Our latest sign (9km outside Gympie) is viewed by 8,700+ passing vehicles per day travelling to Brisbane…. It will be interesting to gauge the response.

Master of Professional Studies

{ June 2nd, 2009 }

By Jeanette Maynes

uni-31Recently I graduated with more than 130 former students of the Fraser Coast University of Southern Queensland at the 2009 graduation ceremony held at the Brolga Theatre in Maryborough. This was the largest number of graduands in the 11 year history of the Campus.

I was in the first group of students to ever graduate for the Masters of Professional Studies in Australia. This work place based post graduate degree was established on the Fraser Coast.

A big thank you to Graham Young (Campus Coordinator Faculty of Business) my tutor / mentor, I couldn’t have done it without you. Your guidance, knowledge and support was inspirational. Thanks for turning my light bulb on!!!

I would also like to thank Chris Foley (State Member for Maryborough) for taking the time to see me and explain some issues I had with my study more clearly to me. That was really appreciated, a big help and got me back on track!

The staff at USQ did a wonderful job of organising the event and making sure we all were in order and our correct positions throughout the ceremony.

This course is tailored to mature age student entry with  the RPL  (Recognition of Prior Learning) of four units available based on the writing of a Portfolio of your life experiences and knowledge to date……

Master of Professional Studies

Program focus

The Master of Professional Studies is designed to enable professionals to engage in the highest form of authentic learning: to study as they engage in real world, real time activity; and to combine their work and study in ways that lead to benefits for both the individual and the organisation.

Accordingly, the program aims to provide opportunities for professionals with the appropriate entry qualifications to gain post-graduate qualifications and enable them to critically review literature to address theoretical and practical questions and issues in their workplace field, and to design and implement projects to further investigate these questions and issues.

Hats off to USQ graduates (News; Fraser Coast Chronicle)…… click here to read more.

Advertising your Website

{ April 7th, 2009 }

By Ben

I’ve Spoken before about advertising your website through other advertising mediums, making it more valuable in your marketing mix. Jack Casey Motors in Hervey Bay and Maryborough have done a great example of that - check out their TV commercial below.

Some people ask when building a website for the business if they should drop all other marketing mediums, and in most cases this is not the wisest thing to do. Continue to use other marketing mediums, but do so in a manor that pushes customers to jump online and read more about the business and make an inquiry over the internet.

In most situations you can reduce the size or length of a TV/Radio/Newspaper Advertisement by sending people to your website where you have all the information the customer needs.
