AMAZON is out to burn Apple with a full colour tablet that’s less than half the price of the iPad.

The online retail giant today unveiled the Kindle Fire, its long-awaited touchscreen computer which experts believe could challenge Apple’s dominance.

The Kindle Fire runs on Google’s Android software and costs only $US199 – the cheapest iPads retail at $US499 – and will let users download books, magazines, newspapers, videos and music.

It will have access to apps through Amazon’s Android store and, unlike the iPad, doesn’t need to be backed up on a PC.
Instead, it backs up its contents wirelessly on Amazon’s servers.

These days, creating a Facebook page for your business is no longer a luxury.

Many small, medium and large businesses are using Facebook as a successful vehicle for promoting their brands and engaging with existing and potential customers  – and when set up and maintained correctly, you can reach far more users than you’ve been getting to previously.

A Facebook Page is free to set up, can be configured in less than five minutes (for a basic page), and doesn’t require any previous web development experience – although adding some of the more advanced interactive features are a little trickier.

What is QR Reader for iPhone?

{ September 12th, 2011 }

QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response code) is a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) first designed for the automotive industry. More recently, the system has become popular outside of industry due to its fast readability and comparatively large storage capacity. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be made up of any kind of data (e.g. binary, alphanumeric, or Kanji symbols).

Created by Toyota subsidiary Denso Wave in 1994, the QR code is one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes. The QR code was designed to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.[2

{ August 11th, 2011 }

You probably don’t know that a Billboard is one of the most cost effective and useful advertising tools a business can have and if you chose the right site a very affordable monthly outlay!!

It’s something that is viewable 24 / 7 (especially if you use reflective material) and your skin / creative can lasts for years.
It is far cheaper than paper advertising that is thrown in the bin that day!

It’s very important that every couple of years you give your business look a revamp / overhaul to keep in line with current design trends, if not sooner!

Websites require continuous refinement and improvement to keep content fresh and the look and feel visually pleasing.

A revamp does not mean one has to completely overhaul the website – do small incremental changes that lead to a new template design / website look, perhaps color revision or updated content.

If your website is out of date and obsolete it can potentially lose customers for your business.

While it is important that your website looks clean and professional, it is more important that you concentrate your efforts on the content, promotion of your product / services, the use of a simple straight forward navigation and make sure it downloads fast.
