Landoway Outdoor in Bundaberg approached Design House seeking a major rebrand as they have renamed their existing company to JAM Outdoor.
Being one of the largest outdoor advertising companies in Queensland with over 350 + billboards we developed a website so that potential clients could not only view JAM’s professionalism but the location of their sites statewide.

We started with a logo design and carried that through into business cards, letterheads, with comp slips & finally the website development.

Our company has just undergone a major rebranding from Landoway Pty Ltd to JAM Outdoor.  As a large regional Queensland billboard company, we felt our growth and professionalism required a memorable and contemporary name to match our ethos.  This has not been a simple process, as all our communications required a name change along with our new logo and colours.  We have also used the opportunity to launch a new website, JAM Outdoor.com.au.  Design House have managed the process, navigating across all areas involved, ensuring that we keep on track by following the process through to completion. It is not an easy journey to change your name when you are presenting your company across different mediums each having their own issues in presentation.  What stands out on a website compared to the tag on a billboard is very different.  Jeanette has been very flexible and responsive to our specific requirements producing what we believe is a simple and effective logo which is now integrated across all our communication channels. Our website is eye-catching and interactive providing our customers with intuitive navigation that shows all our available sites. This is no mean feat considering the volume of information on all our sites. Now our customers can quickly see photos of available sites in their areas along with tips and examples of signs that have been designed and are successful for our customers.

Recently I completed a Buddha Bootcamp (Calm Abiding Meditation Course) with Choeying Dolma a Buddhist nun who resides in Hervey Bay. I found the whole experience so profoundly uplifting and learnt so many new tools to handle the pain and suffering we experience in our lives that I felt compelled to donate my time and services of Design House to market Choeying. (valued at $3,000 + including logo, business card & website design etc …. I have never seen such a happy and excited nun as what Choeying was at her website lesson!!) 
Hhmmm could be some good karma coming my way…

I feel everybody in the community should have the opportunity to experience the benefits of meditation and don’t be confused it is not a relaxing experience by any means. By the end of my full weekend retreat I was physically and mentally spent! You really have to go along yourself to experience it as it is so deep.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Biggest Whales tail in Hervey Bay!

Recently while working in with the Fraser Coast Regional Council again on their outdoor advertising campaign (Billboards). I made the suggestion an extension would really help to create the WOW factor for tourists entering our area! Not only will the 6m long whale’s tail promote our Whale Season effectively but will also give clear directions to the Tourist Info Centre!

I’m not sure why more whale watch operators don’t do this themselves promoting their boats, their business name, whale season and directly targeting our tourists (on their way into the area) straight to their business website!!!!! (Hello online bookings!)

The Burrum Heads Amateur Fishing Club Inc. organises the Burrum Heads Easter Fishing Classic every year and this year due to funding by the Queensland Regional Event Development Program, we were able to develop a website for the 2009 Classic along with glossy A4 brochures for the many people who converge on Burrum Heads each year for the event. 

Fortunately our Club President was advised to see the wonderful staff from Design House.  They designed a very professional brochure for us which has received much acclaim from sponsors & others alike and we have even been able to attract sponsors for the 2010 Classic, just from the brochure alone.   

Jeanette & Ben from Design House have developed our first Classic website, which is now online at www.burrumfishingclassic.com.au for all to see and check out the latest information about the event.   A club website is currently being developed and should be up and running very soon. 

Due to the hard work of the team at Design House, the 2009 Classic has been taken to a whole new level of professionalism, with the website, the glossy brochures, Club business cards and our new logo re-worked by Jeanette as well.  We can only thank them very much for all their hard work and dedication to getting the brochures and website up in good time for the event.

Working in closely with Larry from Aquavue at Torquay we both decided his signage needed a huge revamp!
The original signage did not accurately portray all that his business has to offer with the main attraction being a cafe situated right on the beach providing the best views in Hervey Bay.

Many regulars and tourists were walking straight past without realising the experience that was right under their noses; excellent meals and service plus a magical view.

Aquavue also offers much more including jet ski hire, cruiser bikes, kayaks, adventure tours plus boat & jetski licence testing.

Tasman Venture goes PINK to launch their new marketing campaign and Fraser Island Tours.

Tasman Venture is a 20 metre boat, predominately offering whale watching tours in Hervey Bay.  This year, a new ‘venture’ unfolded with the launch of two new tours to the largely untouched western side of Fraser Island.

Having spent considerable time thinking about the look of our new brochures, we needed a designer that would be able to transfer these ideas into reality and due to advertising deadlines; we needed it done ‘yesterday’.

Our experience with Design House has been positive from the beginning. Jeanette was able to understand what we wanted from the first meeting and we felt confident in her ability to deliver what we had requested.
The whole process was fast, efficient and simple. The end result is impressive.

We have received many positive comments about the look of the advertising material and we are now confident the brochures reflect the products.

Vibeke Voller came to Design House as she required a CD Cover designed for her debut album. Vibeke supplied some images and details but really was not sure what she was after visually. My first proof received the following response;

“I am absolutely thrilled about what you have already accomplished!….and so soon! I love the ornamentation. The colours and sensitive splashes of red all combine to create a very stylish visual impression.(it looks Norwegian). The picture frame effect on the red background is stunning! The page next to it fantastic!”
