Helinox Trekking Poles
{ September 20th, 2010 }
A huge awesome thank you to Mox and DAC for their sponsorship of two pairs of Helinox trekking poles valued at $400 to the Mt Everest ‘Think Big’ Trek 2010! These trekking poles are prototypes and I will be test driving them to Base Camp. They are really appreciated and we are sure to put them to the test!!! These poles take some of the weight off the knees and back (especially as we will have 10kg day packs) and help steady one on uneven ground or angled slopes. Hopefully we’ll take some awesome promo shots for their future promotion.
The Helinox trekking poles are made by DAC in Seoul South Korea.
DAC manufactures the lightest strongest aluminum alloy in the world (TH72M-T6). DAC is known by adventurers throughout the world for ultra lightweight expedition equipment – tent poles, tent pegs, backpack frames etc. Virtually all quality expedition tents in Europe and the USA are equipped with DAC poles and pegs.
DAC is now manufacturing the highest quality lightweight adventure equipment via their own brand name Helinox. These trekking poles are prototypes of a range to be available to the public in Europe, the USA and Australia from March 2011.
